About the Motus Apprenticeship
Motus is currently seeking enthusiastic candidates for its Apprenticeship programme, providing a unique opportunity for individuals eager to gain practical workplace experience in the automotive industry. The Motus Apprenticeship is designed for Level 1 Apprentices aspiring to become Motor Mechanics. This program offers a structured pathway for apprentices to learn on the job, develop essential skills, and work towards earning formal qualifications as certified Motor Mechanics. Participants in this apprenticeship will gain exposure to the practical aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, guided by experienced Technicians within Motus’s professional workshop environment.
During the apprenticeship, selected candidates will actively participate in various aspects of the training programme. They will assist with vehicle repairs, honing their skills under the close supervision of qualified Technicians. Apprentices will be expected to fulfill the requirements set by the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (MerSETA) trade, including successfully passing level tests. The goal is for apprentices to qualify within a maximum of four years, gaining comprehensive knowledge and practical experience essential for a successful career in motor mechanics.
Participants will be required to engage fully in the programme’s activities, including scheduled technical and level training courses. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience by aiding in vehicle repairs, meticulously preparing for assessments, and striving to achieve their qualifications within the stipulated time frame.
