Key Responsibilities

Interns will immerse themselves in a range of tasks that include:

  • Stock Management and Inventory Control: Execute instructions from managers to ensure efficient and effective task completion.
  • Repairs and Testing: Collaborate closely with the Technical and Contracts Manager to provide product support and gain invaluable hands-on experience.
  • Order Management and Project Oversight: Participate in project management aspects, engage in site repair work, and apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

Additional duties may include:

  • Assisting office staff and managers with daily operational tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock movements and overseeing inventory.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work area.
  • Preparing, testing, inspecting, and issuing products according to project specifications.
  • Supporting quality management processes and procedures.
  • Following lawful instructions from managers at LESA.
  • Assembling and wiring RMUs for orders received.
  • Planning and executing orders, builds, and project activities.
  • Being willing to undertake site work and occasional travel.
  • Demonstrating the ability to conduct repairs on switchgear.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Lucy Group Internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Candidates should possess an N6, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power.
  • Documentation: Applicants must provide a confirmation letter of completion from their university along with a request for Work-Integrated Learning.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in low voltage (LV) cable work, wiring tasks, and basic testing is essential, as is the ability to diligently follow management instructions.
