Gov Worker
As a Traditional Storyteller, you will be responsible for preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of our community through the art of storytelling. Key Responsibilities:
As a Traditional Storyteller, you will be expected to:
- Research and Preparation: Research and prepare a repertoire of traditional stories, songs, and dances from various cultural backgrounds.
- Performance Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging performances that showcase your storytelling skills, including voice, movement, and gesture.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other artists and cultural workers to create new and innovative performances.
- Community Engagement: Participate in workshops, training sessions, and community events to share your knowledge and skills.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, cultural organizations, and other stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience: A strong background in traditional storytelling, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
- Education: A degree in Fine Arts, Drama, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Research: Strong research and organizational skills.
- Languages: Proficiency in multiple languages, including African languages and English.
