Gov Worker
As the Tax Compliance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and Submitting Tax Returns: Managing the submission of company tax returns, VAT returns, and PAYE returns on behalf of the organization.
- Ensuring Accuracy: Completing tax computations, reconciliations, and analyses in a timely manner.
- Providing Tax Guidance: Offering support and guidance to various departments, including management, to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate and up-to-date records and files of all tax-related information.
- Liaising with External Professionals: Collaborating with auditors and tax authorities to resolve any tax-related issues and ensure compliance.
- Staying Informed: Keeping up-to-date with changes to tax laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years in a similar tax compliance role.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of South African tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with critical thinking and independent work capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
