Role Responsibilities:
- Assist plant breeders in cross-pollination, selection, and evaluation of honeybush and rooibos breeding material.
- Support planting, harvesting, and maintenance of field trials for honeybush and rooibos.
- Collect and record data on plant characteristics for research purposes.
- Collaborate with the Fynbos nursery team to maintain plants, including in vitro propagation.
- Contribute to improving propagation techniques and plant survival rates.
- Ensure smooth operations within the Crop Development Division.
Requirements:
- Matric / Senior Certificate.
- Hands-on experience in plant propagation, nursery management, and data collection.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, in outdoor conditions, and travel when required.
- Familiarity with indigenous plants (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills (advantageous).
