Gov Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Specialist to play a vital role in helping individuals with physical disabilities or injuries regain their independence and improve their quality of life. The Rehabilitation Specialist will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of individualized rehabilitation programs. Key Responsibilities:
As a Rehabilitation Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with physical disabilities or injuries to identify their rehabilitation needs and goals.
- Developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Providing direct patient care, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, as needed.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting rehabilitation programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field.
- Current registration with the relevant professional council in South Africa (e.g., HPCSA).
- At least 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in a hospital or community-based environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
