Rehabilitation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

As a Rehabilitation Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with physical disabilities or injuries to identify their rehabilitation needs and goals.
• Developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Providing direct patient care, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, as needed.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting rehabilitation programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field.
• Current registration with the relevant professional council in South Africa (e.g., HPCSA).
• At least 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in a hospital or community-based environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
