Gov Worker
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a range of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Examining and diagnosing patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including joint injuries and degenerative disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, which may include surgery, physical therapy, and medications.
- Performing orthopedic surgeries, including arthroscopy, arthrotomy, and fracture fixation.
- Monitoring and updating patient records to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical specialists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Master’s degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery (MCh or equivalent).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery, focusing on patient care and treatment planning.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Compliance with the requirements of the Department of Health and relevant statutory bodies.

Duties:
As an Orthopedic Surgeon, your duties will include:
- Conducting patient consultations, including physical examinations and diagnoses.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Performing surgeries and procedures, including pre-and post-operative care.
- Monitoring and updating patient records.
- Attending ward rounds and M&M (Morbidity and Mortality) conferences.
- Participating in teaching and training sessions for medical students and residents.
