Key Responsibilities:

The Microbiologist will be responsible for:

• Conducting research and testing in the field of microbiology, including the isolation, identification, and characterization of microorganisms.
• Developing and implementing methods for the detection and quantification of microorganisms.
• Collaborating with other researchers and scientists to design and conduct experiments and studies.
• Analyzing and interpreting data, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of research and testing.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in the field of microbiology.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a research or testing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and protocols.

Working Environment and Conditions:

This is a full-time position based in our state-of-the-art research facility in South Africa. The successful candidate will be expected to work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional evening and weekend work as required. The working environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

• A salary range of R350,000 – R500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
