Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Administrative Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and preparing correspondence.
- Preparing and filing documents, including court documents, pleadings, and other legal papers.
- Conducting research and gathering information to support legal cases and matters.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
- Coordinating travel arrangements and expense reports for legal professionals.
- Assisting with the preparation of court briefs and other legal documents.
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a legal or administrative environment.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with lawyers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
