As a leading organization in the environmental and health sector, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Hazardous Materials Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations, health and safety protocols, and risk assessment methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Hazardous Materials Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing the handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to minimize risks and prevent accidents or environmental damage during hazardous materials management.
  • Conducting inspections and monitoring storage and disposal facilities to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining detailed records and reports regarding hazardous materials handling, transportation, and disposal.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including production, quality, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration of hazardous materials management across the organization.
  • Developing and delivering training programs for staff on hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hazardous materials management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing hazardous materials with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, health and safety protocols, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
