Apprentice – Early Years Educator (Level 3)

Moat House Primary School, Deedmore Road, Coventry, CV2 1EQ

Hours: 36.25 hours per week, 39 weeks Term time only, per year

Times: 8:15am-4.00pm, Monday – Friday, (30 mins unpaid lunch break)

Contract: Fixed Term for the duration of the apprenticeship, including end point assessment. Expected duration 15-18 months. This can be longer or shorter depending on existing knowledge, skills and experience

Salary range: National Apprenticeship Wage. The minimum wage starting rate is £7.49 an hour, £10.18 an hour for 21-22 year olds and £10.42 for anyone aged 23 and over.  Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that is part of their apprenticeship

The Headteacher and Governing Body at Moat House Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Apprentice to join our Early Years team. The post holder under the direction of the teacher, will gain valuable experience working with children in Nursery and Reception, supporting the team in nurturing the children (this could include personal care), ensuring their needs are met and delivering a variety of activities. The role will include supervising children over lunch time.

Working alongside our experienced staff to gain knowledge and skills, you will complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.  You may also be required to complete English and Maths functional skills (depending on existing qualifications).

You will have dedicated time away from your job to work on the apprenticeship and collate evidence for your apprenticeship e-portfolio with ongoing support from your Manager and Trainer
