We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team. As a Bookkeeping Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. If you have a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and maintaining financial records, including ledgers, journals, and cash books
- Processing and reconciling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Preparing and submitting financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Performing data entry and bookkeeping tasks, including updating financial databases and spreadsheets
- Identifying and correcting errors in financial records and accounts
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and accounting data
- Providing financial support and assistance to other departments, as needed
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a qualified bookkeeper or accountant with a relevant tertiary qualification
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Be proficient in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail
- Be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
