Dorridge Primary School, a large three form entry, community Primary school with a nursery offer high quality wraparound care in a purpose-built provision, known as Darbys.
The provision operates between 7.45am – 8.45am for Breakfast Club and 3.15pm – 6.00pm for Teatime Club Monday to Friday. Hours to be worked to suit the needs of the setting in consultation with the successful candidate. Job shares will be considered.
Part time: 30 hours per week – 52 weeks per year (all year).
Annual leave is to be taking according to provision requirements. Provision is closed on Bank Holidays, for 2 weeks in August and for 1 week during the Christmas holidays. This time will be taken as part of the annual leave entitlement.
We wish to appoint a Manager to ensure the well-being and safety of pupils joining our out of hours wraparound care is in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
Main duties and responsibilities will be delivering the Before and After School Provision:
To lead the day to day management and organisation of the Before and After School Club
To provide line management to a team of Playworkers and Teaching Assistants, directing the work of staff, supervising their activities.
To lead and motivate a team of staff to deliver high quality creative play opportunities.
Liaise with the school with regard to the needs of the children who attend the club.
To liaise with parents to encourage parental involvement and support of the Darby’s provision.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Work in partnership with the School’s Leadership Team to provide an appraisal system for staff and to organise staff training to meet identified needs.
Take responsibility for personal professional development, including participation in own annual appraisal, any necessary training, and keeping abreast of all current issues relating to providing this service.
