We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization by providing technical expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and control.

In this role, you will provide senior-level support to the organization’s finance team, analyze financial data, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of detailed financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with IFRS/IAS standards and company policies
  • Financial forecasting and budgeting, analyzing financial trends, and making recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Designing and implementing financial processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including financial planning, budgeting, and internal audit teams
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge and understanding of financial regulatory requirements and tax laws
  • Leading special projects, such as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and financial system implementation

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as CA (SA), CPA, or CFA would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and control, as well as experience with financial systems and software

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and build strong relationships
