Gov Worker
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our company’s financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers, journals, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Preparing and processing invoices, credit notes, and cash receipts and payments.
- Managing cash flow, performing cash management, and forecasting exercises.
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, to ensure seamless processing of transactions.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Professional certification (CFA, CA, or SAICA) will be considered an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
