Gov Worker
Key Responsibilities
- Processing Transactions: Processing and verifying accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and credits.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
- Payment Preparation: Preparing and submitting payment batches to vendors and suppliers.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Resolving discrepancies and errors in accounts payable transactions.
- Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to the finance team, including preparing reports and statements.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Working Environment and Conditions
As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a team of finance professionals. You will be required to work in a shared office space with frequent interruptions and may need to work overtime during peak periods.
The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
