Salary:
- Grade 1: R451,533 per annum (plus benefits)
- Grade 2: R553,545 per annum (plus benefits)
Requirements:
- Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent, allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Post-basic qualification in Oncology Nursing Science, accredited with SANC, with at least 1 year of experience in Child/Paediatric nursing.
- Proof of current SANC registration.
- Minimum of 9 years of nursing experience post-registration, with at least 5 years in Oncology Nursing Science after obtaining the post-basic qualification.
- Knowledge of computer literacy.
- In-depth understanding of nursing legislation, legal and ethical practices.
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing Management (advantageous).
Duties:
- Oversee clinical nursing practice in the unit according to scope and standards.
- Promote and ensure quality nursing care.
- Demonstrate understanding of HR and financial policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other professionals.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Manage time and resources effectively.
- Advocate for patient care and adherence to Batho Pele principles.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships to enhance service delivery.
- Implement and comply with nursing legislation and practices.
- Compile and analyze reports to improve patient care.
- Manage resources efficiently in the unit.
- Be prepared to work night shifts and relieve the supervisor as needed.
