Position Overview
We seek a qualified State Advocate to handle criminal proceedings and fulfill constitutional mandates under Section 179(2) of the Constitution.
Key Requirements
- LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification
- Right of appearance per NPA Act Section 25(2)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification legal experience
- Proven skills in legal research, drafting, and court representation
- Comprehensive knowledge of criminal/civil procedure
Core Responsibilities
- Guide investigations and initiate criminal proceedings
- Prepare legal documents (charge sheets, indictments, court papers)
- Represent the State in all court matters
- Conduct trials, examinations, and appeals
- Handle motion applications and prosecution processes
- Collaborate with justice system partners
